Yes, a downpipe can increase performance in a turbocharged setup. It usually reduces restriction and lowers exhaust gas temperature, which can help if the tune is adjusted. But the gain depends on the engine, the rest of the exhaust, and supporting changes. If the downpipe removes the catalytic converter, it may not be street-legal in your area. Verify current regulations before you quote it.
Step 6: Measure the payback after the purchase, not just before
When I compared our Q1 and Q2 service records side by side, I finally understood why the TS508WF earned its drawer space. TPMS service time dropped from about 34 minutes per vehicle to 23.
